Meal Plan Monday
Another Meal Plan Monday! Sorry about not posting a meal plan last week. I was just about done typing up the post and my computer decided to update and it took FOREVER! By the time it was done I had forgotten all about it. (I also just noticed today is Tuesday not Monday. One day I will get it together!) Last week we had a tough time sticking to the meal plan at the beginning of the week but once we went grocery shopping on Wednesday it was much easier to finish out the rest of the week's meals. It also made it nice that we had 2 nights where we had planned to eat out so that was 2 suppers I didn't need to cook.
So, here is the plan for this week:
Monday:
Breakfast- Cereal
Lunch- PB&J
Dinner-Baked Ziti
Tuesday:
Breakfast-Cereal
Lunch-Mac n'Cheese
Dinner- Leftovers
Wednesday:
Breakfast- Toast and Eggs
Lunch- English Muffin Pizzas
Dinner- Roasted Chicken
Thursday:
Breakfast-Monkey Bread
Lunch-Quesadillas
Dinner-Leftovers
Friday:
Breakfast-Cereal
Lunch-PB&J
Dinner- Sausage and Kneophla
Saturday:
Breakfast- Pancakes/ Brunch
Lunch-Brunch
Dinner-Beef Roast
Sunday:
Breakfast-Waffles
Lunch- Soup
Dinner-Pizza
Not a lot of recipes are linked again this week. Most of the meals on this week's menu are regulars that I don't need recipes for. I plan on searching the next week or so for some new meals so hopefully I will have something new on the meal plan to share with you in the coming weeks!
Oh I also wanted to add...you didn't get to see the post from last week but in it I talked about how nervous I was because I am at the point in my pregnancy where I just can't grocery shop by myself anymore. The shopping isn't so bad but lugging 2 weeks worth of groceries into the house after that shopping is just too hard on me. So...it was either go another day when my husband could help me or still shop on Wednesdays but send my hubby on his own (I now work Wednesdays when before I didn't). Well, I gave him a shot and I sent him to do my grocery shopping. Now, it's not that I don't trust him or think he is incapable of doing our grocery shopping but usually I go by myself and I don't write a very thorough list. For example, I may just write cheese and just know that I need 3 different kinds. He also might not be aware of the specific brands I do or do not buy. Well I am please to report that he bought EVERYTHING off my list and didn't go over our grocery budget! Although I will say that as I cooked meals throughout the week I did notice a few impulse items had snuck their way into our pantry. "The kids wanted them," was the response I got ;)
