Goals 2016

Happy 2016!!! I hope the first two weeks of this year have gone well for you! Well, usually January is all about resolutions. I always feel like resolutions never work because their so restrictive and it's usually a bad habit you are trying to break. This year I decided to do something a little different. Instead of focusing on the negative I am going to focus on more positive goals that I would like to achieve this year hoping that they turn into good habits. My biggest inspiration has been Cori The Rest Girl. She formed a Goal Getter group on Facebook and I have found some awesome inspiration to help me get my goals organized.

 This is a free printable that you can download and print from Cori's Goal Getter Group. There are 9 different categories for you to organize some of your goals in. I tried to write at least a couple down in each section. One thing that I did notice about my goals is that they weren't very specific. There also isn't a whole lot of room on the form to be really detailed but just keep in mind that the more specific you are about your goals the easier it will be to measure your success later. Here you can see after I printed and cut it down I just adhered it to some scrapbook paper, punched it, and added it right into my planner. 

Another  free printable available is this word for the year. As you can see I picked the word persevere for my word of the year. I am going to work so hard to make these goals a reality that I thought persevere was a perfect fit!

So for January I decided to make my faith a priority by reading in my bible everyday. I am working my way through the Psalms which is perfect because there are 31 of them, one for everyday! Now two weeks in and I have fallen a little behind. I do find that when I get back from the gym in the morning, if I sit down and read right away I stay caught up and don't fall behind.
