Back in Action!
So as some of you may have noticed I have been MIA for a couple of months now. We have had a lot going on with our family so I thought I would finally take some time to update you all as to where the heck I have been!
My last blog post was in March. Not long after that I found out I was pregnant with our 3rd baby. While I live for being a mom, and I do really, this pregnancy has been the same and yet different than my other two. Just like my other two, almost right away at 5 weeks I got really tired and really sick. My morning, or should I say all darn day, sickness wasn't so bad that I would throw up although many times I wish I would so I could just feel better and get on with my day. What was different this time around is that I had a harder time finding foods that didn't make me sick or get heartburn. I'm slowly starting to feel better. I'm such an on the go person weather it be cleaning up the apartment (now house!) or working on a craft project. All of that had to go on the back burner when I started forcing myself to nap when my kids napped. I don't need as many naps now but there's no forcing myself. I take the time out gladly!
In addition to the good baby news, we also bought a house and have moved in the last month. We had looked at this house months ago, I want to say in early March. I fell in love right away and my husband didn't take much convincing. We met with a banker and it took a few months for us to feel confident enough to put in an offer. After a week of back and forth, the sellers accepted what was going to be our final offer. I still can't believe they accepted! It was below their asking price quite a bit but the house had been sitting on the market empty for about 8 months. We were told that they may have been swayed because we were a nice young family. So we went from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with a basement and our mortgage is only about $40 more than our rent payment was. If I can stress anything to a young adult it's this, save up for school and then a house. If I had know years ago how little cash we would actually have needed to close on a house I think we would have done this a long time ago.
So, now that I'm adjusting to being pregnant again and we're getting a little more settled into our house, I feel like I'm ready to get back into the crafting blogging swing of things. I plan on posting a few update videos on my YouTube channel. I will link it here or you can search for Blessings in My Pocket. My vision for this blog and my YouTube channel has always been to be a broad lifestyle kind of thing versus anything real narrow. However, don't be surprised if a lot of the future content is craft related :)
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing you again!
